My
   Approach

As a product designer, I help my clients realize their visions. The starting point can be a few sketches on a piece of scrap paper or just a sentence "I want to create an app that..." and it is enough for me to turn the idea into a fully working, intuitive, and efficient cross-platform application.

As a creative director, I focus on increasing business value through appealing branding, informative visual content, addictive user experience, and empathizing stories. I believe that every successful product touches a part of user's heart.

As a team player, I've worked with and managed teams of designers and developers across the globe, both in person and remotely, and led them to complete multiple products at different scales.

I specialize in creating SaaS products (B2B, B2C, C2B, and C2C), taking them from the initial phase to the finish line. I have extensive experience handling them end-to-end and am involved in every step from the initial user research, flowcharting, wireframing, prototyping, to creating the actual design, implementing it, working with developer teams, validating design with users and stakeholders, iterating products base on their feedbacks, and eventually pushing to production.

Tools I regularly use include, but not limited to, Adobe CC, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Lucidchart, WordPress, Webflow, Basecamp, JIRA, and Slack.

The Story

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in industrial design, I spent my first year as an in-house designer at a marketing firm in Vancouver, while playing in a metal band as the frontman after clocking out. I also started my agency, Viusion Solutions, which focused on providing creative direction and UI/UX design for companies at different scales,  globally, from startups to enterprises.

Two years later I was offered a product owner position at a healthcare tech startup in California. I realized my potential of not just being a designer making things pretty, but owning a product, connecting and empathizing with users, leading teams, and taking things end-to-end. The career path continued until late 2016 when I was invited to China for a year to help out a friend's business as a life coach for men (I know, right?). I helped my clients become better versions of themselves, and increase their overall performance in work, relationship, fashion, fitness, and health.

Now that I'm back in Canada, I've decided to settle in Toronto and explore all the exciting opportunities the east coast has to offer. When I'm not living and breathing design, you might find me making music, pumping iron, learning Russian, or planning my next trip (20+ countries and a Burning Man enthusiast).
